PAST EVENTS The Ashen Faggot The tradition of the burning of the Ashen Faggot takes place at the Squirrel Inn on the 6th of January every year. The 12 bands on the faggot represent the 12 days of Christmas and there is usually some speculation on how long the burning will last for. There is more about this tradition on the History page.
