Carla and Anthony Guppy welcome you to the Squirrel Inn.

We are a free house located in the small hamlet of Laymore on the Somerset Dorset border.

Open seven days a week for lunches and evening meals cooked to order using where possible locally produced ingredients. Also opening all day Sundays serving from the carvery from 12 to 7pm alongside our menu from 12 to 2pm and again from 7 to 9-30pm.

The inn boasts fantastic panoramic views which can be viewed from our large dining room and gardens which contain an array of children"s play equipment.

We are a family friendly pub with a dining area. The bar has a large selection of beers, wines and local real ales and is featured in the Good Beer Guide. There is an open log fire for those chilly winter evenings.

We also provide overnight accommodation with 3 double en suite bed and breakfast rooms.

The Squirrel Inn also has a self contained skittle alley, a table skittles board, live music evenings and a happy hour 7 to 8 pm on Sundays.

Wednesday night is the Squirrel Inn steak night with two steak meals for just £10.

We are also open on Christmas Day for lunches and we cater for small parties throughout the year for birthday dinners to christenings and we can also cater for buffets.
